The highlight of our Winter Schedule at Hamden Scuba is our Ice Diving expedition. Program consists of Knowledge Development sessions to learn to plan Ice Diving Activities and 3 dives under the ice. Action packed, this weekend has something for those that are up for adventure and want to learn the techniques involved in diving in extreme conditions, those that are already certified ice divers and those who want to learn techniques involved in surface support.

Our 5th Year of this amazing trip to the one and only Bonne Terre Mine with a fun stop off at Mermet Springs along the way. We have now been running this trip for 5 years and each year it gets a little bit better. We will complete 5 dives in the mine, all led by expert staff from the mine operation and supported by safety divers for each group of "Deep Earth Divers". The famed Nubble Lighthouse is not to be missed - we had a great time at the lighthouse last year and anticipate some great diving there again. Gear up next to the lighthouse, and then dive in the lagoon where lobsters, skates, crabs and flounder take shelter among rocks. Complete your PADI Surface Marker Buoy course on this adventure.

Narvik is Norway's Shipwreck diving capital. It has German, English and Norwegian Shipwrecks from the Second World War. We will do 4 days of diving on the ship wrecks in the bay and then a morning diving a WW2 German war plane at Lake Hartvikvanne. Accommodation in a self catering cottage.

Includes 2 dives at the world famous Blue Heron Bridge - a bucket list location for most divers. These dives will be on Steel 100's with ~ 32% EAN Nitrox due to the length of the dives - Blue Heron Bridge is a shallower dive site, so bottom times are expected to be on the long side :-). We will also be doing a 3 tank (again ~ 32% EAN breathing gas) ocean dive to go play with the sharks (Divers - no touching the sharks! Sharks - no touching the divers!)

Divers on this trip must be Nitrox certified and at least Advanced Open Water certified. Guess what - we offer both of these programs before we go. Contact us for details and to make a reservation.

We plan on diving The Keystorm, The America, The Vicory and The Islander on this 4 dive adventure. Passoprt required this time around as we will be on the US and Canadian side of the border. Accomodation will be Included on this trip as will be the PADI Boat Diver Specialty for those that dont already hold the certification. After dusk expect bioluminescence, squid and small sharks. We will dive Saturday and night dive on Saturday night, camping overnight and a little exploring on Sunday.
