PADI Open Water Diver Course
The worlds most popular dive certification, the PADI Open Water Diver certification offered through Hamden Scuba is a three day dive program plus knowledge development, leading to the PADI Open Water Diver certification.
To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
You will learn to independently plan and conduct open water dives in conditions as good as those in which you trained with your dive budy to a maximum depth of 60 feet (40 feet for Junior Open Water divers)
As a new to Hamden Scuba diver you will start your adventure with an orientation at which we will cover all of the details and logistics of the course, you will receive your eLearning codes and we will discuss your personal gear requirements - don't worry, we provide most of your dive gear during the course, just your personal dive gear to acquire (Mask, Snorkel, Fins and Booties)
